Somehow the title to this posting doesn't jive with what you just saw right? Hahaha!
But I'm not blogging about food...just like to show what I had...err...I mean...what we had after our bike ride. We (Michelle, Debbie, Kenny & me) had this very meaty lunch in Ayers Rock Butcher & Grill, Bukit Jelutong. It was after 70km+ bike ride with BJCC (Bukit Jelutong Cycling Club)



Our ride started from Bukit Jelutong. Quite a number joined. Most are hitting their mileage preparing for PCC Interstate 3day ride end of April.

We rode to Batu Arang and headed home through the challenging dragon back.





First stop 35km at Batu Arang. Had breakfast. Heading back we passed by Bukit Ramlee, a MTB heaven! Must try the trail there someday.


Looking at the pix below and you'll understand why they call it the dragon back. Rolling hills for miles!

I'm missing out!

Can you believe that KL City Run, KEC Klang Run, Kidney Run, UPM HIV&AIDS Awareness Run, Cyberjaya Green Run, Nexus International School Triathlon, Malakoff Penang Run all happened this month??

I think I still must have missed mentioning a couple more runs...

More runs means good news! More people are health conscious...hopefully they actually run and not just joining for the goodie bags! Hope all those who are new to running will continue running and not just be a 1 hit runner like those 1 hit wonder singers.

But among all those runs, I only did Bareno Half Marathon. 1 run out of ...how many ah? Man... am I missing out big time!

Used to take part in every run available in the Klang valley when I started few years back. Every run seemed so exciting...well, anything that's new is exciting la. Wanted to run everywhere and compete with anyone. Kinda crazy don't you think? Hahaha! But seriously, when you first get involved in running, the passion is overwhelming. Everyday everything is about running.

After that, road bike came into play. Long bike rides, duathlons, triathlons...

Now MTB enters the scene...and I sort of forgot about running long distances and riding on my roadie. Merida is pissed off at Cinder-ella that's for sure.

Seriously...

Sunday runs transformed into MTB rides and I've not blog about KLMTB hash in Kajang. That was a huge gathering of hundreds of MTB riders. A lot of fun!!

2 weeks from now, Kenyir Triathlon. No training can help much now. That's when I did my first OD Tri. Not over dose... OD = olympic distance :P

Bareno Run

So how did I fare?

1.38.29

I managed a sub1.40 but found out it's 1km short of a half marathon. Actual distance was 20.3km. I finished behind 20 in my category, behind 12 junior veterans, behind 5 senior veterans, behind 1 women open and behind 2 veteran women. Behind a total of 40 runners and half of them are older than me.

That's 1 way to look at it and it doesn't look good huh. But it definitely will spur me on to achieve a faster time....hopefully that is...

But on the other side, hehehe...this is a cheerful way to look at it. I was ahead of 794 in the men open category. :D

The route has 3 hills, a good mix with long straight flats. Traffic control is fine with adequate marshals. Can be better next time with more water stations.

Overall, I'm satisfied with my run. Lack of training so I can't expect much.Next race, Kenyir Triathlon on 10 April.

Each year, there are certain key holidays that most Christians celebrate. One of these is Christmas, when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago.

Another is Good Friday, when we honor the day when Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. And three days later, on the day we celebrate as Easter, Jesus rose from the dead! When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He rose victorious over sin and death and hell. He conquered death for us!

Before He died, Jesus had ministered for three years in the country of Israel. He was born in Bethlehem and lived about 30 years before He began His public ministry. Then for three years He ministered; He taught; He performed miracles; He selected and ministered to His disciples and taught them how to minister to others. He healed the sick; He fed the hungry; He gave sight to the blind. It was a wonderful three years when He ministered on earth.

What is most amazing is that He came to earth to die for our sins. Even though Jesus is perfect and sinless, He took on Himself the penalty for the sins of the world. How great is the love of Jesus Christ!
