May-Noo (Menu)

Gotta share this menu with you from my jalan-jalan cari makan episodes. Err...actually this menu is from the coffee shop I patronise weekly if not fortnightly for lunch. It's only about 100m from my office....hehe!

For a bananaman like this tomatoman, these direct translations of Cantonese into alphabets spoken in Engrish accent are perfect! Otherwise I'll order as "that one....ah...yes, that one lah....you know ...the "hou sek" one ah.....ya lah, that one lahhhhhh"

But ordering in English spoken with kwailow accent may complicate things lah....eg : FUKUA KAI

I'm getting hungry reading all these...

Trust me, I have no idea what coconut seafood is....??

Instructions below are quite confusing if we don't think like the taukey nio....hahaha!!!

The fire is still burning...

While the personal friend action is still burning hot, here's some questions for your thoughts...

The "I'm the one" man said:

" I think I have simplified a complex matter. By doing so (confessing), I thought people would think that I am a political leader with high moral grounds...after 61 years, I have learnt a lesson that honesty doesn't always pay."

Pondering more about what he said makes me sad and I feel like vommiting!

It came from one of our national, political leaders...

High moral grounds?
Confession, yes, that's good moral. Honesty! Congrats! Well done!

Honesty doesn't always pay?
People will start to be dishonest then. Children, students....what about them? Do we want them to learn that way? To be dishonest?

People support him for being honest....but what he did was a shame and no support for that.

Adultery....high moral grounds?
Can anyone say yes to that?
Think about it....
I do support him for being honest and what he did as a Health Minister for the health of the country but not for his own health with the personal friend lah...
Imagine his grandson saying he wants to be just like grandad and the new learnings being honesty doesn't always pay, proud to commit adultery. Alamak!!!

Happy new year??? Depends lah….

Ladies & gentlemen, our national new year 2008 headlines read:

Malaysians welcome 2008 with a bang.

I’m the one.

Chua quits all posts.

What sort of a bang was it? Fireworks bang or someone kena bang bang bang?
Imagine this happened to any Ali, Ah Chong or Muthu. Sorry lah brother, no front page or headlines for you. Nobody gives a damm except the wife and family, so after you bang, the opposite happens whereby you kena bang!

Our Health Minister’s news became such hot news because it happened to someone we all know…err…sorry, I mean most of us if not some of us, hopefully. Whether this happened to James Bond, Austin Powers or coming back to reality, Bill Clinton, people will want to know. People thrive on such news. Why ah? busybody mah...want to know wat's happenin leh...

It is sad that someone who contributed so much to the country has to step down in responding to a mistake he did a couple of years ago. Unlucky guy. Yes, he did something not right but he was honest, apologised to the nation and took responsibility for it.

10 things good that he did, nobody knows…
1 thing bad that he did, everyone knows…

What about the others who are not caught? Hmm....pandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga. Kadang-kadang jatuh dalam lubang! Itu baru tau!! Hahaha!

This is just the same in other aspects of our lives. Take for example, football. The goalkeeper.

10 good saves that he did, nobody remembers…
1 blunder and everyone mocked him….

Sad….the world has become a sad sad world….people thrive for mockery, accusations or simply enjoy to see people suffer.

Why did people do the camera setup? Who?
People who are in pursuit of power and money! Yup, the love of power and the love of money drive us humans to be evil.

But in the first place, the moral of the story is… do not commit adultery lah.

Cleat Clip On-Off 101 & Hill Climb 101

On 31st December 2007, I took leave to enjoy the last day of the year by riding around Putrajaya. Had the honor to ride beside Rummerida, the Ironman (coming soon!) Well, the honor kinda disappeared without a trace and I had the shock of my life! KNN! Wat da heck?!?!
Rummerida rode across a busy road putting his life in danger to passing cars not because he’s rushing to save a hot chic, no…no…. but simply because he refused to stop. He just had to ride on. But if he had stopped, he would have fallen or crashed due to inability of instant un-clipping the shoe cleats from pedals, and that would be worse.

Yes, our ride on that day started off with so many vehicles zooming around during that rush hour and the death defying Rummerida action. Oops! Forgotten that 31st was a working day so I chose a bad day for a peaceful ride. It turned out to be a challenging ride for baby cleat clippers like us...hahaha!

Realising safety is top priority when you’re on the road, we turned into the housing area nearby where traffic was almost zero and had our crash course (no pun intended!) Cleat Clip On-Off 101. After rounds of practice at the traffic light junctions, we can be considered ok in un-clipping when you most need it. Phew!

Our lite & easy ride led us to PICC and that became our hill training. On the bike, it’s a steep hill where Rummerida conquered it with ease. Well, what can you say for a person with bulging incredible hulk calves and quads! 6 rounds doing Hill Climb101 and…sob…sob… I lost them all. Hats off to him…. or in other words, KNS! Niamah!

At the top of the hill, we could almost see the entire Putrajaya. What a view!

The road leading to the magnificient govt buildings

And so….a bad start end safely with a newly mastered skill and fruitful hill training. Thank God!

Blessed Christmas & Happy New Year !!!

Let's give thanks to the Lord that we celebrated Christmas not long ago and just ushered in another year. May we have Christmas in our hearts everyday and that we see more of God's grace & blessings in 2008 ! Amen!
